Waimea Canyon, Kauai 2017-2023
Waimea Canyon, the "Grand Canyon" of the Pacific was created by the collapse of a volcano that formed the island of Kauai. Lava and rainwater continue to erode the canyon. It is a spectacular, geologically remarkable landscape that makes it unique among the Hawaiian Islands.
