North Sea, Scotland 2015-2016
In August 2015, I sailed around the Shetland and Orkney Islands in the North Sea of Scotland as part of the Clipperton Project. On this voyage, we explored remote islands with few inhabitants, monumental cliffs, Neolithic sites, sheep, seals and migratory birds. We observed how trash from around the world landed on these distant shores. The following paintings recall this experience.
